ACC Basketball Predictions

Well, I haven't been too on so far with these predictions, but I'm gonna try again:

    Notes:
  • I think the teams at the top will lose a few more games, and the teams at the bottom will win a few more, but I just can't see where. Still, I'd be very surprised to see four teams actually finish with only 3 wins.
  • According to this, the final standings would be:
    • 1. UNC (13-3)
    • 1. GT (13-3)
    • 3. dook (12-4)
    • 3. Wake (12-4)
    • 5. Maryland (11-5)
    • 6. NC State (8-8)
    • 7. Virginia (7-9)
    • 8. Clemson (3-13)
    • 8. Miami (3-13)
    • 8. Florida State (3-13)
    • 8. Virginia tech (3-13)
  • If it did work out this way, I would think that Virginia would have a good shot at making it to the NCAA tournament, despite the 7-9 record in the ACC. Those 7 loses would have all come to very highly ranked teams (except for VT), they have a good out of conference record (and are ranked in the top 25 before ACC play), and the ACC is very strong this year.
  • Finally, if I just guess final record, without guessing each game, my final standings come out more like this:
    • 1. GT (13-3)
    • 2. UNC (12-4)
    • 3. dook (11-5)
    • 3. Wake (11-5)
    • 5. Maryland (9-7)
    • 5. NC State (9-7)
    • 7. Virginia (8-8)
    • 8. Clemson (5-11)
    • 9. Miami (4-12)
    • 10. Florida State (3-13)
    • 10. Virginia tech (3-13)
  • In this situation, the ACC easily gets 7 NCAA bids, sending Georgia Tech, North Carolina, dook, Wake, Maryland, NC State, and Virginia, with Georgia Tech and North Carolina getting 1 seeds.
