My Open Letter to WRAL

"I understand that there are a lot of NC State fans in the area, but taking #2 Kansas @ #8 Kentucky off the air to show NC State and Miami play "basketball" is a load of crap. You are taking off one of the most anticipated match-ups of the year. Let ESPN pick terrible basketball games. Games like #2 vs. #8 deserve to be seen nationally. Instead of watching two of the nations elite teams, we now get to sit here and see if either team can score 15 points in the first half.

In addition, when we subscribe to digital cable, we get a second WRAL channel. Yet you seem to think it’s a good idea to show the NCSU game on BOTH. What a waste? If you aren't going to make use of having two different WRALs in this case, when would you?

At the very least, please don't advertise that the game will be on for weeks in advance. I can think of few things as frustrating as looking forward to a great game, sitting down to watch it, and finding this kind of trash. I hope in the future you think about your entire viewing audience rather than a small viewing audience who cares much more about football anyway."
