Recommendation Time

A new feature on my blog, time for a movie and a CD you should check out:

• i, robot:
  
  I am sure that a lot of people have seen this, but it somehow avoided me until tonight. As a big fan of the book (which is nothing like the movie), I was very skeptical about the movie. The book revolves around certain situations and robots and how they act within the three rules that control them. The movie does a good job not straying too far off course. Will Smith is his normal, witty self. If you haven't seen it yet, i, robot is definitely worth a rental.
  
  


• Deliverance, by Bubba Sparxxx:
  
  Before you laugh, here me out. I'm not even quite sure what possessed me to give this CD enough of a look to realize that it was actually quite good. Or at least it is different, which is important in the hip-hop screen of today. Deliverance blends fiddles and harmonica with a strong bass beat and rap vocals. There are a few tracks in the middle of the CD that are not as good, but overall the CD is pretty solid. And besides that, the song that inspired the opening to ESPN's College Gameday is also on the CD.
