Graduate School Update

This is one of those rare segments where I fill my loyal readers (ok, let's be honest: reader) in on me.

So far, I've heard from MIT and Chicago...and both were bad news. Which sucks. As someone who only applied to one school for undergrad, it's humbling to get rejected from something. Now, if I must be 0 for 2, these are the two I would want to have heard from. They are two of the top three math graduate schools. I wasn't sure I was qualified to begin with. So this is not too disappointing.

Anyway, to paraphrase Laura: "If your ego ever needs a shot in the nuts, apply to grad school."

Edited (2/25 8:40am) to add: Still waiting on Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, Maryland, Georgia Tech, and Alabama.

Yes rejection sucks. I have not experienced it personally from grad schools yet but I know my time will come. Good luck with the rest.

I am sorry dude. I got rejected from BU and that was my one of my safety schools. So now my ego peace'd out until I hear from the other schools I applied to.
