My Frustration with Apple:

THEY LIED TO ME. Right to my face. Well, over the phone.

I called Apple on Sunday to figure out why I couldn't see my ipod as a removable drive, because I was trying to get all my music back on my computer. When I told the guy what I was trying to do, he said, "I am very sorry, but there is no way to get music from your ipod back onto your computer. The connection only goes one way."

False. And luckily for me, I knew this was the case. I quickly told him, "Fine, I don't care about my music" (a lie). "I have a paper saved on my ipod that I need to get off" (also a lie, though your ipod can be used as a removable hard drive). He was then glad to help me try to access my ipod. Turns out I was missing the newest software update for the ipod.

What drives me crazy is that the moment I was able to get where my paper was (or would have been had it existed) saved, I was able to ditch this guy on the phone, and get my songs (in case you are wondering, you need to make sure you have your settings to view hidden and system files, and then go through a couple hidden folders to get to the music; it is not sorted at all, but it's there; alternatively, there are tons of free programs that you can download that will find your music as well).

Why can apple just lie like this? I know there are copy right issues, but if that is the case, there has to be a better way than a boldfaced lie. Tell me you cannot assist me with that. Tell me you don't know how, or even that you don't know of any way to do it. But don't tell me you can't. Because that is false.
