Draft Day Has Come and Gone...

...And now it's time to defend my crown :)

So I figure there's a damn good chance you are either a member of the Righteous Degenerates league, or you just don't care, but this since this blog is for me, I'm gonna talk about my team anyway.

First of all, we can take a chance to review last years championship sqad.

This year's team is going to be thinner by default, since we have the largest fantasy football league to have ever existed (14 teams, as opposed to 10 last year).

I got the third pick in the draft, which was a bit of a disappointment and destoryed my strategy of taking running backs with my first two picks. Anyway, I wasn't too happy with my team at first, but a day later, I am seeing that it's not a bad team. It is paramount that Trent Green is able to play and be healthy after his recent surgery, that Antion Gates stays as hot as he was last year (ie, that the Chargers don't fall off into nowhere), and that I am able to find a RB for week 4, when both Droughns and Bettis have a bye week at the same time, leaving me with only Shaun Alexander to fill two RB spots.

Needs:
~ Find a TE to cover for Gates while he is inactive for week 1.
~ Find a RB to cover for Bettis and Droughns in week 4.

We kept the number of bench spots low this year, because of the high number of players. This should encourage more trades, and more good players going to waivers, and just more strategy in general.
